We bring the original sound and feel of classic pop and rock songs to our audience, replicating the recorded sound as closely as possible. This is our trademark - not merely copying - but re-producing the artists sound!

Vinyl Countdown relish live performance, which is what it is all about really! Replicating the original songs and staying true to the original.
Offering an eclectic variety of songs, from 60's, 70's, 80's up to now! Always across a range of genres to keep you, the audience, entertained!
Whether the venue is large, small or whether we are outdoors, we bring the band, the PA, the lights and the atmosphere for any occasion!
We'll do our best to get the audience involved and enjoying the music. You can't beat the classic's, after all!
The Band

We are based in North London and provide live entertainment, anywhere in the UK, for your party, function, wedding or venue. We have a huge song list, which includes many well known hits, across a wide range of genres. Do you need a special song for your celebration? No problem. We can add it to our set for you!
Lead Vocals
Ruby
Ruby is a professional singer with years of experience in originals bands, cover bands, musical theatre and her own solo music. She has toured Australia as a member of the country's top 80's and 90's cover band, has sung at international sporting events, and performed her own original music in New Zealand, Australia and UK. She's a lover of a wide variety of styles, form rock to pop to soul! Originally from New Zealand but now living in London!
Guitar, mandolin, backing vocals
Mark
Mark plays guitar and mandolin and adds vocals & backing vocals too! He is a key member of The Moody Ruse, a Moody Blues tribute band and has played in a variety of originals and cover bands, across a number of different genres. He is an accomplished player who loves to play rock and pop, authentically reproducing the sounds of the original tracks!
Bass, vocals
Pat
Pat is an experienced professional musician who has played bass in a variety of originals and function bands in styles ranging from hard rock to soul and jazz. Since 2013 Pat has performed with Katrina (formerley of Katrina & the waves) playing bass in her band all over the Uk, Europe and USA.
Keyboards & Piano
Simon
Simon is a self-taught professional musician with an eclectic taste across a wide range of genres. He performs with a number of acts, including tribute bands, and also forms part of an ad hoc duo, playing at weddings and birthdays!
Drums & percussion
Clive
Clive has played drums and percussion in many originals and covers bands. He brings versatility to the drums, with electronic support and modern Roland technology, to provide a solid backdrop & realistic interpretation for the pop and rock classics we perform!
Guitar & Vocals
Darren
Darren is a professional musician & composer, who has performed with many well known acts, including Brian May, Westlife, Katherine Jenkins, Tony Hadley, Sharon Corr, Craig David & Chris De Burgh, to name a few. He was a member of the Shakin' Stevens band for several years and regularly works with Katrina Leskanich (ex Katrina and the waves).
Darren is kind enough to deputise for Vinyl Countdown when required!
Special guests
David and Jenn, previous members of Vinyl Countdown, are currently involved in other musical projects. Hopefully, from time to time they will return to assist us for future shows!
David
Lead vocals, keyboard, piano, guitar, sax
An original member, David is an accomplished performer, appearing in many celebrated commercials as a child, and a multi-instrumentalist professional musician. He is currently performing across the UK with Guns to Roses, an international tribute act, and is currently not available to perform with us !
Jenn
Keyboards & Piano
Jenn is a professional singer and performer. She has performed roles in West End musicals and other rep productions. She is currently unavailable to join us.

We do our utmost to capture the original 'feel' of the songs we cover, trying to replicate them as closely as possible, staying true to the original. We have an extensive list of songs, so these are just a few, to show our range!
For parties, weddings, or special events, we will happily add some songs of your choice to our set list for the evening, to help you celebrate, or for the most important 'first dance'!
